Who knew Johnny Depp was so deep?
“There are four questions of value in life... What is sacred? Of what is the spirit made? What is worth living for, and what is worth dying for? The answer to each is the same. Only love.”
“The only creatures that are evolved enough to convey pure love are dogs and infants.”

save-a-dime: Kroger has Medium eggs for $1.00 a dozen
Okay it is time to stock up on eggs. They have not been a $1.00 a dozen in a very long time. At this price they will run out fast. If they do don't forget to ask for a rain check. Rain Checks are our friend.
Save-a-dime Kroger policy change on coupons
I am a little upset with Kroger this week. It seems they are limiting coupons to five like coupon in 24 hours. Now I know they are trying to be fair so the extreme couponers don't buy out the store. However they offer 10 for 10 deals all the time. That is when I try to stockup and catch the lowest price I can. So this morning I email the corprate office to tell them I feel they should accept to coupons on the 10 for 10 deals. I urge all of you to do the same. It messes up your game plan when you can only use 5. I understand that they are trying to keep some folks from buying 50 of one item. No kidding a couple of weeks ago Domino's sugar was 2.49 if you bought 10, there is also a 50 cent coupon that doubles to 1.00 so that was 4 pounds for 1.49 great price. In my local stores (There are 3 Kroger stores close to me.) I went to all 3 stores and they were sold out, I saw on woman in line she had 40 bags. So I got a rain check. This was before the stores change the policy to limit of 5 like coupons in on trip. This being said I get the idea of a limit per trip but since most of their sales are the 10 for 10 I feel they should change it from 5 to 10. If you feel the same, go to their corp site
http://www.kroger.com/help/Pages/contact_us.aspx. Shoot them an email. Maybe if enough of us do this they will raise the limit to 10 so we can catch a good deal. I did get my rain check from each store so I will get the sale price but I will have to go to 3 stores instead of one to do it. (What a bummer.)

save-a-dime: Kroger still has Carolina Turkeys for 59 cents a pound
I have always been a Butterball fan. However this year Butterball didn't offer any prices that would help me save a dime. So I tried Carolina brand that Kroger has for 59 cents a pound ( Dog food cost more that that. LOL) Yesterday I decide to roast one just to use for lunch meat, I was a little concerned this bird might not be the quality of a Butterball. Was I ever wrong. This was the most tender turkey I ever cooked the meat was falling off the bone. It is a great buy. Glad I stocked up I have 2 more in the freezer. If I had more room I would get some more. I did pressure can one from raw state . I mean really do you want to pay 5 to 6 a pound at the deli or throw one into a roasting pan and pay 59 cents a pound. At this price I can share it with my Roxie

Best Deal so far this month Thanks to JCP
Did JC Penney send you the $10.00 off a $10.00 purchase coupon? This is what I bought with mine. The crock pot was on sale for $11.99(org price 19.99) , they were out of the color I wanted, the clerk who's name was George, said if I took the floor sample he would knock off 10 %.
So since I love to save-a-dime I took him up on it.
After the discount, it came to $10.89 then they took off the $10.00 coupon. I paid 89 cents. I am making a cheese dip in it right now.

Peanut Butter going up 40 % got you down? CVS has Jiff this week for 2/$500 and you get $3.00 back in RR"s. That is like getting it for 2/$2.00 If you have any RR's it will be an even sweeter deal.
If they are out, don't forget to ask for a rain check .
The manager at my CVS is great, their store was not shipped any Jiff, we asked for a rain check. They allowed us to get the Skippy for the same price. So I gave them a Dollar RR and Four Dollars and got back $3.00 in RR"S. That's $1.00 for 2 18 oz jars of peanut butter. NO 40% increase for me this week, thanks to CVS.....
