In 2010 I never paid over 1.99 a pound for Ground Chuck or Ground Round.
About 8 weeks ago I stocked up, on 20 pounds of Ground Chuck at Ingles. (1.99 per pound)
I have been checking the ads every week, looking for a sale, to replace what we have used. I have not seen it anywhere under 2.52 a pound. (That's not good.)
It seems the corn shortage and the oil price are making there way to the meat counter.
I will keep watching the ads, hoping to see a Real Sale, before I run out. The Kroger ad called this sale prices this week

Is it just me? Does this sound like sale prices? My question to you is How much will the meat have to cost per pound before we all become vegetarians? Leave me a comment. I would like to know if you feel the inflation in your grocery cart? |
