No-Bake Energy Bites Recipe
  • 1 cup (dry) oatmeal (I used old-fashioned oats)
  • 1 cup toasted coconut flakes
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup ground flaxseed
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
Stir all ingredients together in a medium bowl until thoroughly mixed.  Let chill in the refrigerator for half an hour.  Once chilled, roll into balls of whatever size you would like.  (Mine were about 1″ in diameter.)  Store in an airtight container and keep refrigerated for up to 1 week.
Makes about 20-25 balls.

Don't know why I love this I just do.

Kroger has the 60 count Ester-c Gummies BOGO this week check you coupons for the $2.00 off one coupon, if you have 2 coupons you get these for $1.25 a bottle great stock up price. We all need Vitamin C.

Save-a-dime: PUBLIX BOGO

Publix has the 100 count box of Lipton's tea this week for BOGO, so you get 2 boxes for 4.29 that's 2.14 a box, good deal. Check your coupon stash for the 50 cents off one Lipton product. If you have 2 of these you can bring the price down to $1.14 a box that is a great price. Since I am a southern girl and we have Ice tea in the fridge at all times this is my stock-up price.
While your checking your coupon stash look for the $1.00 off 4 cans of Progresso soups coupon. Publix has the Progresso soup BOGO this week that 2 cans for $2.29 . Make them $1.14 a can, not a bad price buy 4 cans and use the $1.00 coupon that makes them 89 cents a can very good price for this product. If you printed out the Publix on line coupon for $1.00 off 4 cans you can stack it with manufacturer's coupon and bring the price down to 64 cents a can. That's what I did.  I know some of you only cook from scratch and  I prefer homemade soup too. But sometimes you just need something you can fix quickly. This is a good fall back item.
